Visiting Professor Program

Application Review and Evaluation Criteria

Submitted applications will reviewed by the Education Committee. Prior to thorough review of a proposed educational program, the committee will first make a determination of need.

Applicant countries must lack satisfactory opportunities for continuing medical education in Movement Disorders. If the applicant country successfully demonstrates educational need, the proposed program will be reviewed in depth by the Education Committee members.

Of the applications reviewed in depth, one will be selected based on the clarity and completeness of the program proposed, how well the program addresses the educational objectives indicated and how effectively the target audience need is explained. By submitting an application, the host organization is recognizing its responsibility to provide comfortable lodging and meals for one to two visiting professors teaching for three days in the host country. By awarding a host country, MDS is recognizing its commitment to provide airfare and a per diem honorarium to the visiting professor(s) in support of this valuable program.
