Researcher who once hid her own diagnosis awarded as an outstanding advocate for dietary health in PD 

Richelle Flanagan shares about simple questions she thinks clinicians should ask, and her recently-launched app to help PwP track fluctuations, including changes around their menstrual cycles.


Dietician and researcher Richelle Flanagan was a 2023 recipient of the World Parkinson’s Congress Robin A. Elliott Award for Outstanding Community Service.  

To highlight her outstanding work and the importance of patient voices in care, Moving Along interviewed Dr. Flanagan about her path to advocacy, advice for clinicians, and recent research for a newly launched app that helps patients track fluctuations in their symptoms, including changes related to their menstrual cycles.
