To better fulfill its global mission of advancing the neurological sciences as they relate to Movement Disorders, MDS is expanding its education program. This growing program offers an increasing variety of high caliber Continuing Medical Education and continuing professional development opportunities in Movement Disorders.
To address the needs of our international membership and their communities, MDS's comprehensive education program will incorporate a wide range of learning formats; from traditional live conferences, workshops, and seminars to self study alternatives which allow for computer-based education as well as text/audio/video-based activities. These educational offerings will cover the spectrum of neurological Movement Disorders, from the commonly encountered to the unusual and atypical.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Mission
The purpose of MDS's Continuing Medical Education program is to offer activities that will stimulate, maintain, develop, and enhance the study and practice of medicine and research related to Movement Disorders. Content areas include any topic within the field that impacts the study or practice of the sub-specialty of Movement Disorders. The target audience for MDS's Continuing Medical Education Program includes clinicians, other health professionals, researchers, and policy makers from throughout the world, both MDS members and non-members, who interact with patients living with Movement Disorders. The expected results of the program are to advance the science and medical knowledge in the area of Movement Disorders, thereby enhancing patient care.
