Global Assessment Scale for Wilson's Disease

Measure the severity of the effects of Wilson’s disease on multiple systems.

Main Content

The Global Assessment Scale for Wilson's Disease (GAS for WD) measures the severity of the effects of Wilson’s disease on multiple systems. The scale has two parts, or tiers. The first tier measures disability in four areas: liver, cognition and behavior, motor, and osseomuscular. The second tier scores neurological dysfunction. The GAS for WD was designed for use in routine clinical practice to track disease progression and response to treatment in patients.
